The Canon PG-545 and CL-546 are genuine Canon ink cartridges covering black (MPN 8287B001) and tri-colour (MPN 8289B001), available individually or as a bundle pack. Both are also available in XL high yield versions — the PG-545XL (8286B001) and CL-546XL (8288B001) — along with a range of multipacks offering better value for regular printing.

Standard or XL? XL cartridges fit exactly the same printers as the standard ones. The PG-545XL black prints about 400 pages, more than twice the standard 180, and the CL-546XL colour about 300 against 180. If you print regularly, XL means fewer cartridge changes and usually a lower cost per page.

Standard yield cartridges deliver 180 pages each. The XL black delivers 400 pages and the XL colour delivers 300 pages — making the XL versions the more cost-effective choice if you print frequently.
