The Canon PIXMA MG3250 printer uses Canon 540/541 ink cartridges, available in two black options — the standard PG-540 (180 pages) and the higher-yield PG-540L (300 pages) — plus a PG-540L twin pack for extra value, and a colour cartridge in standard CL-541 (180 pages) or high-yield CL-541XL (400 pages). If you're looking for the PG-540XL, it was discontinued in 2024 and the PG-540L is its direct replacement, offering a solid step up from the standard yield. Various mixed bundle options covering both yield tiers are also available. The MG3250 is part of the Canon PIXMA MG3200 series — all models in this range use the same ink cartridges.
