The Canon PIXMA MX475 printer uses Canon 540/541 ink cartridges, available in two black options — the standard PG-540 (180 pages) and the higher-yield PG-540L (300 pages) — plus the CL-541 colour cartridge (180 pages) and the higher-yield CL-541XL (400 pages). A PG-540L black twin pack and various mixed bundles covering both yield tiers are also available. If you're looking for the PG-540XL, it was discontinued in 2024 and the PG-540L is its direct replacement, offering a solid step up in yield from the standard cartridge. The MX475 is part of the Canon PIXMA MX400 series — all models in this range use the same ink cartridges.
